| Many Ways to Advocate with Policy Makers

Tuk Tuk” is the name of the motorcycle with four wheels and beautiful decorations that transports people living in the city as well as tourists. In Phnom Penh Cambodia, tourists like to take the opportunity to take Tuk Tuks to sightsee the beautiful royal palace or the river front because the price is not very expensive and reasonably safe.

The Adventist Development and Relief (ADRA) Cambodia
through the Cambodia Action for Policy on Smoking and Health (CAPSH) project is working to advocate for the passing of a tobacco control law by the national assembly. Together with other partners, the CAPSH project created an a new advocacy message to show the public and other government officer through 2 billboard light boxes and advertising messages on 15 Tuk Tuks urging quick action on passing the law.
These media approaches add on to the many advocacy efforts made this past year by CAPSH project and partners including a Dissemination Workshop of the Research Results on Policy Support for Tobacco Control and numerous airing of several TV and Radio spots aimed at policy makers.
